2014 Spring Season Boys Teams -- Placement
Team coaches and administrators, as listed on the team application, should receive an email from the MRL by no later than Saturday, November 30 with specific instructions for scheduling within your division. Be patient in receiving this email as we have 80 divisions of competition across three tiers of competition (Premier I, Premier II and First levels) slated for the 2014 Spring Season.
Within the email will be information on the appointment of a Division Scheduling Coordinator (DSC). The announcement of the DSC for your division will be made no sooner than Monday, December 2. The goal is to complete all schedules by Monday December 23.
MRL-2014 Spring Season Team Information
The MRL has adopted a series of rules changes for the 2013 Fall Season and the 2014 Spring Season including:
--Restructuring of the competitive tiers adding a third tier in realigning teams into Premier I Division (formerly Premier), Premier II Division (new tier) and the First Divisions.
--Revising the Premier I Division Qualification Competition at the introductory age groups (Under-13 and Under-14) for the Fall Season.
--Revising the License Requirement for Coaches

MRL adds Pro Youth Clubs Affiliates Division
The MRL has added an innovative competition platform featuring teams from two Major League Soccer youth clubs and their affiliate premier youth teams. Read more here:
MRL's Pro Youth Clubs Affiliates Division Information
This new division is being conducted outside of the three-tier MRL structure with teams in the Pro Youth Clubs Affiliates Division ineligible for advancement to Regionals or Premier I or II Division slots. The division is structured to emphasize the MLS Youth Clubs player development programs.

US YOUTH SOCCER NATIONAL LEAGUE
Congratulations to the following teams that play in the MRL who won their respective 2013 US Youth Soccer National Championship at the National Finals in Kansas in July 2013:
Girls U-15: Eclipse Elite USYSA Black 97-98 (IL)
Girls U-17: Cleveland United White (OHN)
Girls U-18: Team Chicago Academy Botafogo (IL)
A total of 41 teams from the MRL and Region II will be participating in the US Youth Soccer National League in 2013-14.

MRL CLUB DIRECTORS OF COACHING ROUNDTABLE AT NSCAA CONVENTION/US YOUTH SOCCER WORKSHOP
--Our next Club Directors of Coaching Roundtable will be held on Friday, January 15, 2014 in Philadelphia at the NSCAA Convention/US Youth Soccer Workshop. The meeting will take place in Room 109B starting at 4:00 pm in the Convention Center.
